MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The following qualification(s) must be met and clearly stated on the City of Saratoga Springs employment application form:

DUTIES: Responsible for directing traffic in the vicinity of schools to ensure the safety of children. This work involves exceptional responsibility for protecting children going to and returning from school and requires considerable vigilance. Work is performed independently with occasional supervision. The incumbent performs related work as required.

Directs traffic near schools; tells children when they may cross streets; assists children in crossing streets; keeps control of children playing near the street; and instructs children in basic safety practices.
