This is in office employment. This is not remote employment.

SALARY: 

2025 - 2026:
  • 10 Month: $27,904.
  • 12 Month: $43,863. 
  • Part Time: $21.66/hour.

2026 - 2027:
  • 10 Month: $29,160.
  • 12 Month: $45,837.
  • Part Time: $22.64/hour.

NYS Retirement; Benefits; Paid time off; Yearly Increases; CSEA.

LOCATION: Saratoga Springs Central School District.
RESIDENCY: No residency requirement.

EXAM FEE: $15.00 payable by check or money order to Commissioner of Finance (No credit/debit cards. No cash). Fee will not be accepted after the last filing date. A separate check or money order is required for each application. Please be sure your name and exam # are on the check or money order. As no refund will be made, you are urged to compare your qualifications carefully with the listed minimum requirements.  Please note: checks will not be processed until after the last filing date.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:The following qualification(s) MUST be met and clearly detailed on the application form on or before the last filing date:
  • Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma OR
  • One (1) year of full time paid office experience which includes typing.

PLEASE NOTE: The incumbent must be able to demonstrate an acceptable rate of typing accuracy and speed before the end of their probationary term.

DUTIES:
  • The work involves the performance of a variety of standardized clerical tasks and the full-time or substantial part-time operation of equipment requiring the manipulating of an alphanumeric keyboard to produce printed copy.
  • Specific duties vary with the needs of the department.
  • Procedures are usually fixed but detailed instructions are given for new or difficult assignments.
  • Work is reviewed by checking completed work, by periodic or spot checks, or other steps in the clerical process.
  • The incumbent does related work as required.
