SARATOGA SPRINGS (NY) CITY CENTER - DIRECTOR OF SALES
SALARY:
- $90,000 - $100,000 (depending on experience) with annual increases.

LOCATION: Saratoga Springs (NY) City Center
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The following qualification(s) must be met and clearly stated on the application form:
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Hospitality (or a closely related field) and 5 years of full-time paid experience promoting activities which shall have involved scheduling and working with the public; OR
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Hospitality (or a closely related field) and 6 years of full-time paid experience promoting activities which shall have involved scheduling and working with the public; OR
- Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and 7 years of full-time paid experience in promoting activities which shall have involved scheduling and working with the public.
DUTIES: The work involves responsibility for the development and implementation of sales and marketing programs for a large multiple purpose building. The position also requires acting as event coordinator between clients and building staff. This position requires attendance at building and community events as necessary, including weekly staff meetings. This position requires a high level of event and conference planning and oversight. The Sales Director must be able to work proficiently in a fast paced and hands on environment. While this is a director level position, the Sales Director position requires active involvement in the sales, event planning and the community aspects of the Saratoga Springs City Center and its mission. The work requires a high level of independent activity and thought while working in concert with other facility staff. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Executive Director. Supervision is exercised over the sales staff. Does related work as required.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: (Illustrative only)
- Develops and implements sales strategy and marketing concepts for City Center.
- Sells building space to clients for events.
- Negotiates fees for use of building.
- Maintains client contacts.
- Coordinates building events schedules.
- Maintains contact with network of similar facilities.
