SALARY:

2025-2026:
  • 10 Month $22,950.
  • 12 Month $32,363.
  • Part Time $17.82/hour.

2026- 2027:
  • 10 Month $23,983.
  • 12 Month $33,819.
  • Part Time $18.62/hour.

NYS Retirement; Benefits; Paid time off; Yearly Increases; CSEA Union.

PLEASE NOTE: The most commonly canvassed Clerk vacancies for the SSCSD are for 10-month positions. 12-month vacancies are most often posted internally first for those employees who are already in the Clerk title on a permanent basis, from an appointment from a previous Clerk eligible list.  12 month vacancies are not commonly canvassed.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The following qualification(s) MUST be met and clearly detailed on the application form on or before the last filing date:
  • Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma OR
  • Two (2) Years of clerical experience

DUTIES:
  • The work is primarily of a routine nature and involves the performance of standardized clerical tasks. Although detailed instructions are given for new or difficult assignments and procedures are rather definitely fixed, employees must exercise independent judgment in applying them to specific cases.
  • The work is reviewed by immediate observation, by checking completed work, by periodic or spot checks, by cross checking, or by another step in the clerical process. The incumbent does related work as assigned.
